Flashback Data Completes Second Expansion in 3 years
January 2, 2009 - Austin, TX - Flashback Data, LLC wrapped up a successful 2008 with the completion of a major office expansion project which entailed combining three existing office suites together to add additional office and lab space. The project was completed in December with the installation of a robust security system consisting of a multi-zone access control systems with biometric entry in all zones, 24-hour high resolution video-surveillance, a man-trap leading into the lab, and a steel reinforced security cage for sensitive data (including laptops, desktops, hard drives, cell phones, PDAs, audio recorders, flash drives, and other flash media).
Security is top priority for Flashback Data's Forensics Division due to the sensitive nature of the data handled for ongoing litigation. The new security system allows for complete 24/7 monitoring and logging of all access points in the entire office. "You can now match up the chain of custody for the media in a particular case with video footage and security access logs in order to prove its accuracy," explains David McGroty, Director of Computer Forensics.
The added space was populated in January by two new employees, further expanding Flashback Data's Computer Forensics Team. Growth continues with the addition of two other employees in the Spring of 2009. The expansion also allowed Flashback Data to add to its secure Data Recovery lab and Class 10 Cleanroom. Additional staffing is expected in 2009 in the Data Recovery Division to expand the services available to customers throughout the world. New equipment as well as continued Research and Development help keep Flashback Data on the cutting edge of Data Recovery.
